This has been a farm truck and work truck since my dad purchased it in '93. With a little over 400,000 miles she was starting to get a little rough around the edges, so after a few years of sitting around in the pasture, I have begun a full rebuild. The engine tranny and t-case were pulled and resealed. The TTB front end has been completely rebuilt with 2" lift springs from JBG and the 3/4 ton rearend has been replaced with another 8.8, however the 3/4 ton springs are still on the truck (the original 8.8 was replaced with a 10.25 sterling after it spun an axle tube.) The truck is a custom and the recent purchase of a nearly identical xlt parts truck has greatly aided in the rebuild making available amenities such as power windows and locks, bucket seats and a rear bench to replace the jump seats. Still have a little way to go, but she has come a long way in the last two years.
