This truck was originally my wife's grandfathers truck, then his son's, then my father-in-laws, now mine. When I got it it was stock and the engine had been run so hot it had seized once, sat for 3 years, the got a new waterpump and thermostat, now it runs again. Radiator is so full of stopleak I don't know how any collant flows, but it doesn't heat. The truck had stock suspension when I got it and old dryrotted 33x12.5-15 BFG All-Terrains on white wagon wheels. The truck ran weak and missed, and would hardly go into 4high or low. First I replaced the blown shift on the fly fuse, 4high and low work fine now. Then I put new plugs, wires, fuel filter, oil change and filter change, new air and crankcase filters, no exageration, there was a 1/4 inch of crude completely covering these things. I gained 20HP in 90 seconds just with these filters. I also changed the PCV valve and had new brake lines run to the rear. Now the truck runs great and stops too. After that I had the AOD flushed, made a huge difference, and I had the A/C recharged, then I added a 2.5" Rough Country lift and but new 33x12.5-15 BFG All-Terrains on it. The truck does good but I need to trash the 3.55 gears and get down to about 4.10 or 4.56's. Also I have had to replace both power window motors and the Cruise control quiet, but that's not a big deal to me. As you can see, I got more love for my 4x4 than I have good sence, but I do love it when I use it.
