I just saved this 79 from just being used as a plow truck for the rest of her life, which might not have been much longer the way the rust has set in.
I have a ton of work to do as most of the lower body panels are super crunchy (dam New England winters). The frame is good except for one spot in the rear but a steal plate welded over it should fix it no problem.
I got a long road ahead of me but I can wait to start digging in.
Comments: Great save! These years need a little spotlight time so we don't lose 'em. Everyone knows about the OGs and the OJs, but 78-79 is a classic styling most people aren't aware of; keep us updated on that rescue project and help that phoenix rise from the ashes/rust. :-)
