Hi from Down Under. Purchased my 1979 'Bronco Ranger XLT' a few years back and use it as a daily driver while slowly restoring it. Still running the original 400/c6 but have a fresh 460 is waiting to go in sometime early in 2006. The 400 runs on straight LPG (propane) as will the 460, other specs include 4.11 gears, deep pan c6, 35' x 12.5' tyres on 15' rims. To date most of the drive line is rebuilt (just the 460 to go in), new brakes all round, new shockers all round (twin shock front end to come)and heavy duty coils springs up front. As far as i am aware there are only about 12 or so 78/79 broncos in Australia and mine certainly gets plenty of attention at car shows and just driving around Melbourne. I love driving it and dont intend getting rid of it in a hurry either. Would like to hear from anyone who has any questions or advice, especially from Australia. Bye for now (feb 2007 update coming soon)
Comments: The 460 is a great improvement over the old 400.I have a77F-150.It had 351M butnot it has a 460 making aroubd 500hp.That was one of the best thing i could have down was swap the engines over.
