Awesome restored 1971 Bronco! I just bought it locally from a family on Sullivan's Island (just north of Charleston SC). They bought it in 2013 but were unable to offer me very much of the trucks history so here it goes..
From what I do know, I believe this Bronco was restored in Michigan in 2011 or 2012. It also appears that it was a "body off" job. The engine is either new or rebuilt and it has many new parts under the hood including but not limited to: Holley Carburetor, Aluminum Radiator, New Alternator, Power Steering Pump, Power Steering box, High Performance Distributor, Headers, etc!
The suspension also appears that it received an overhall with all New Springs, Shocks, Bushings and Upgrades like James Duff Trailing Arm Lowering Brackets and a pair of Dual Shock Towers upfront. The wheels are Procomp Alloys and they are wrapped with 33" BFG All Terrains that are in almost new condition.
It has been converted to a 3 Speed Manual on the floor and has updated James Duff shifter levers for the Transmission and the Transfer case. Additionally, it has been Upgraded to have both Power Disc Brakes upfront and Power Steering.
The body and frame are in excellent condition in all of the areas that Broncos typically struggle. No signs of excessive body filler or rust whatsoever. The doors open and close excellently. The paint is very nice and clean with only a few minor blemishes from occasional use. The entire floor on the inside has been professionally sprayed with a textured bedliner so it is extremely durable and scratch resistant.
It has New aftermarket seats with seat belts all the way around, a New roll bar, and a New Best Top Soft Top.
All gauges, heat, defrost, lights, etc work exactly as they should. The engine runs very strong and sounds amazing through it's New Dual Exhaust! The transmission shifts smoothly through all gears and the 4x4 system works perfectly.
