I inquired about an excellent condition 1970 Ford Bronco Wagon that I had seen around my home town of Blissfield, MI. It was owned by Brian Duckworth who had brought it back with him from Washington State where he had purchased it 2 years prior. For a mere $1,500 I took it home with me, but it was far from where it needed to be to hang with the heavily modified Jeeps that frequent trails of northern Michigan and the Silver Lake sand dunes...
After driving the truck for a year I had a chance encounter with the downfalls of 1970's drum break technology, which caused my first rollover. I proceeded to ditch the flat black "Rat Rod Bronco" look and do all the body work in preparation for the PPG Chrome Yellow paint job you see on it to this day.
With my 1970 Bronco you can see my 1976 Bronco sporting a potent solid lifter 460. A broken tie rod led to its demise and my second rollover. Many of the upgraded parts that went into my 1970 came from this 76.
